What kind of half pint doesn't like pub grub? Not me. When I wanted to beat the heat, I hit the drum.

Service:
Friendly and efficient.

Atmosphere:
It's a casual, sunny pub with indoor, bar and outdoor seating. It's mostly a crowd in their 20's and 30's. Many bring their dogs and tie them up outside the perimeter. It's a WiFi hotspot so you get some laptop squatters, but for the most part, it's beer drinkers who want a burger.

Drum Burger ($8.50):
A half pound, Angus beef patty, ordered medium rare, arrived rare. The usual tomato, lettuce, and onions were served alongside. I thought that it would be a good test to see if a burger ordered without any additional items (i.e. cheese, mushrooms, etc.) would taste good. I should have ordered the cheese. Luckily, I had the foresight to order my fries done extra crispy. Unluckily, I ordered the garlic fries. They take ordinary fries and put clumps of lightly cooked, grated garlic on top. So you get these wet lumps of garlic sitting there with no melty cheese to meld them together.

Black and Bleu ($9.25): (side salad additional)
This was the thing to order. Tangy Danish Blue cheese added the needed zing to balance out the flavors of this sandwich. The side salad was okay, I liked the pieces of jicima, but the dressing was a little too sweet for my taste. Fries are a better option.
